On August 13, 2024, the Light Up Your Life Society dedicated a tree In Memory of our dear friend and colleague, Jean Shaul. The plaque reads, “Known and Loved by All”,
Jean was indeed a Pillar of Our Community, and a volunteer extraordinaire! She served as a Director of the LUYL Society for 10 years, as well as her long service to the Westview Health Centre Auxiliary, and many other organizations. Terry Mack shared her musical talent prior to the dedication, along with her special composition entitled “Parting”.
This “Courageous Crabapple” tree was donated by Gordon and Janet Heaps and planted by Kiwi Nurseries. It will bloom each Spring along the drive to Westview Continuing Care (lower level) and grow tall and beautiful and be as strong and courageous as Jean was throughout her entire life. A woman who was respected and dearly loved, Jean passed in 2021 after an exceptional life well-lived!
