Over the years, your support has allowed us to help a lot of people, and we can’t thank you enough!
On average, 95.5% of funds you donate to the Light Up Your Life Tri-Community Palliative/Hospice Care Society directly benefit palliative, hospice and continuing care clients in the Tri-Community area.
Our fundraising events occur during November and December, but we also sponsor education and training events at other times of the year. Please visit our Blog for up-to-date information about all our Events.

Stony Plain:
Stony Plain: The lights on the Murals in Stony Plain represent not only our local History, but also the Memory and Life of someone we have loved and lost.
Mayor Choy and Council members, along with Light Up Your Life Chair, Sharon Cornelius and Directors, Linda McCreath and Joyce Pocha join in officially lighting the Murals as we celebrate the 34th Annual Light Up Your Life Campaign in support of Palliative, Hospice and Continuing Care in the Tri-Community area. The campaign continues until December 31st. Names of those remembered will be published on our website at the end of January. www.lightupyourlifesociety.org
Other symbols of the LUYL campaign are: The Doves of Hope (Spruce Grove); The Circle of Hope (Parkland County); The Wave of Hope (Spruce Grove) and The Tree of Hope (Wabamun). Thank you for the exceptional support we have been privileged to receive each year.
Spruce Grove:
Spruce Grove: On Nov 24th Mayor Jeff Acker, Councilor Erin Stevenson and Directors of the Light Up Your Life Society officially lit the “Dove of Hope”, symbol of the 34th Annual Light Up Your Life campaign. The campaign runs until December 31st with a fundraising goal of $100,000 in support of Palliative, Hospice and Continuing Care in the Tri-Community area. www.lightupyourlifesociety.org
Parkland County:
Parkland County: On November 1st Mayor Rod Shaigec and Parkland County Council members, along with Light Up Your Life Society Directors, Joyce Pocha, Linda McCreath and Sharon Cornelius, officially lit the “Circle of Hope” in Parkland County, signalling the start of our 34th Annual Campaign. The LUYL Society is 100% volunteer-run, and as such 95-97% of all funds raised are used to directly support the needs of palliative, hospice and continuing care in our communities. Wabamun and Seba Beach:
Wabamun and Seba Beach: The last two symbols of the 2025 Light Up Your Life campaign were joyfully illuminated on Dec. 5th
Each of the lights on the “Wave of Hope” in Seba Beach and the “Tree of Hope” in Wabamun represent the memory of a loved one.
Their names will be included on our “In-Memory” publication which will appear on our website and social media at the end of January 2026.
At the close of our 34th Annual Campaign (Nov. 1 – Dec. 31), the LUYL Society remains incredibly grateful to all those who support the needs of Palliative, Hospice and Continuing Care each year. Your generosity is testament to your belief in the work we do, and will help us reach our 2025 goal of $100,000.00.
