Village of Wabamun Tree of Hope

During the evening of Wednesday, December 6, 2017, the Village of Wabamun lit the Village Christmas Tree at the new Wabamun Common. A number of residents enjoyed the warmth of the weather and Christmas spirit during the evening. 2017 Fundraising Campaign
AWESOME support from the Orient Restaurant and members of our Tri-Community area who attended the 10th Annual “Light Up Your Life" Luncheon on November 13, 2017!

A donation of $1,600 was received from the owners, Yeung Lam and Tri Nyugen, and added to that were personal donations and the proceeds from the sale of our raffle tickets, bringing the Grand Total for this great event to $2,455.50!! The full amount will be included in the 2017 Fundraising Campaign and will certainly help us reach our goal of $100,000.00.  THANK YOU ALL MOST SINCERELY!!

Happy Anniversary to Us!

25 years ago Light Up Your Life became a registered society, serving the Tri-Municipal region.  Thank you for helping us celebrate this momentous occasion!  We served cake in each of the 5 communities, rode in a 1956 Mercury in the Stony Plain Parade on June 3, and much more.

We're also thrilled to announce the planting of the special "Anniversary Garden" with help from Kiwi Nurseries outside the WestView Health Centre Hospice for the enjoyment of residents and guests for years to come.  Official dedication of the Garden was on September 14, 2017.  More information and pictures on our WestView Health Centre Hospice page!
On June 17th the LUYL Society said thank you with cake and free draws to the residents of Stony Plain for their support over the past 25 years.  The Murals in Stony Plain have been illuminated since 1992 in memory of loved ones as part of the annual LUYL Fundraising Campaign, Nov. 1 - Dec. 31 each year.
